Feedback Alexander, 13.- Samurai-Program. 2019.
Alexander (13), about the Samurai-Programme, he took part in when he was at primary school:
In the Samurai-Programme, children are active. The [programme] elements are installed playfully, so that the children do not get bored.
In our class it has shown that the class average mark has improved with proper use.
It even helps to improve the grade point average when used properly as it proved to be the case in our class.
When it is done well, the children are looking forward to the Samurai-Programme sessions every week.(translation)
Feedback Katrin with Henry. - Japanese baby massage. 2018.
Hello Susanne,
Henry had his U5 [health check at the paediatrician 6 to 7 months after childbirth] yesterday. As he has started crawling a week ago and is unbelievably fit in general (his motor skills match those of a 9 month old baby), the paediatrician asked whether he had physiotherapy or something alike. I then told him that we've had a Shiatsu course. He said that could explain a lot.
Thought you'd be happy, when I tell you what your work and especially your tips (how to make it easier for Henry from supine to prone position among other things) initiated.
...
Many greetings
Katrin & Henry
Feedback Art. Grundschule Bierstadt. Samurai-Program. Aug.-Sept. 2016.
Working within the framework of the project week of the Grundschule Bierstadt [primary school] in 2016 - project-paper article, interview:
SAMURAI PROJECT
"What happens here?"
"We offer massages, we learn Japanese phrases and letters, but mostly we relax!"
"How do you like it here?"
"Very much."
"How much is it?"
"4 Bitas." [project intern currency Bierstadt-Bi, thalers[German: Taler]-ta]
"What's the effect?"
"It's relaxing and helps concentrating."
"Why exactly Samurai?"
"A Samurai is a Japanese warrior. Samurai treated each other with respect and that is what we do here, too, we treat each other with much respect."
"Thank you for the interview!"

Feedback Women's Shelter. - Shiatsu. 2012.
Enjoying with Caution
"I was able to relax well, also because a second trainer cared for my child lovingly, at the time!"
For women at the women's shelter, touch is often connected to difficult memories.
This time is characterised by much upheaval (remembrance) work and approaching future. To have a space for relaxation all to themselves and their children, apart from all of this, is meaningful, important, and precious.
Since 2011, Susanne Pitruzzella and [ ... ] offer Shiatsu at the women's shelter in Groß-Gerau free of charge. Every third week, women and their children living there can enjoy this treatment "with caution."
With many women, we have to make an effort to persuade them in the beginning, sometimes, we accompany them, to find the courage to expose themselves to this situation.
After initial hesitation, however, they gladly take up the offer again and look forward to the next appointment joyfully.
The Shiatsu sessions take place at the women's shelter. This is a safe and sheltered space and prerequisite for engaging into the situation. Every women is accepted as she comes, with her culture, her clothing, and especially with her wishes and expectations. To experience, that their wishes for the situation are respected benevolently and adequately, supports two elementary experiences:
- the feeling of being taken seriously as a human being and to be able to relax and to enjoy with all caution.
- Furthermore, the method promotes experiencing one's own limits, naming them, and, therefore, feeling respected.
Therefore, the offer of Shiatsu has been an integral part and supports us in our work with women and children. (translation)
